Comments: Carl worked in Kennedy munitions plant in Owen Sound as a crane operator, pouring hot metal to make 18 foot propellers for large ships; served in the artillery upon enlistment; wounded by a German sniper, being hit in the hand and knee and sent to England to Canadian #24 General Hospital for recovery, then shipped home; Member of Royal Canadian Legion for 59 years; served as a member of Tavistock Legion #518 and member of the colour party for many years.
