Excerpt from newspaper. LAC Ivan Douglas Wilhelm, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Wilhelm of East Zona, is now overseas with the RCAF, according to a cablegram
received last week. LAC Wilhelm enlisted with the RCAF on his 23rd birthdate, May 3, 1941, at London but was not called until August of the same year. He trained at Toronto, Belleville and Mountain View prior to going overseas. With his parents he attended Lingelbach Evangelical Church, and as a boy had attended school at Shakespeare, Hartleib's and on the 15th and 17th Lines of East Zorra. He has five brothers and four sisters. His identification number is R-116926.
