Enlisted: December 1944, Wolsley Barracks, London, ON
Trained: Peterborough, Petawawa, A22 Section at Camp Borden including the School of Military Hygiene
Served: Canada. Transferred to the new Sixth Division being formed for service in the Pacific Combat area. The surrender of Japan suspended all training and the next service was at N. 4 Infantry Training Battalion at Chatham in Headquarters Company before assuming a new posting to staff at Crumlin Military Hospital in London, ON. The officer in charge was Col. Tieman, our former family doctor in Tavistock. The 11 months service at Crumlin were most rewarding.

After the War: C.N.R., followed by 40 years in selling and servicing mobile heavy equipment
