Henry Reibling (1834-1917): Born October 16, 1834 at Eifa, Hessen, Darmstadt, Germany. At age 26 he emigrated to America going to Detroit, Michigan. After about 6 years' residence in Detroit he came to Tavistock where he was engaged in waggon and carriage building in a shop opposite Mrs. John Zimmerman's residence. He married Margaret Wilker (d. Aug. 21,1905) in 1860. 1876, after 15 years in business here. moved to Harrington, West Zorra, where he spent about 3 years in the same business after which he lived on the town line west of Tavistock until 12 years ago [1905] when he went to Detroit where he lived with one of his sons. Died March 7, 1917. 3 sons - Charles (Karl Andreas), John (Johann) and Werner; 3 daughters Annie C. King, Lena, Eliz. M. Williams; 22 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren.
