Baby found in a manger in a hotel driving shed in Shakespeare. Given the name Charles Shakespeare by Postmaster Brown and wife who took him in. Charles is after the owner of the hotel and Shakespeare after the village. The baby died a few months later. He is buried in the South Easthope Cemetery (Shakespeare) in the first row.
