ELIZABETH WILKER
The death took place at the home of her daughter, Miss Katharine Wagner, Chicago, of Elizabeth Wilker, relict of the late John Klein, aged 81 years, 11 months and 4 days.
Deceased was born at Petersburg, Waterloo County, Ontario, on October 1st, 1837.
On May 23rd, 1854, she was united in marriage to Jacob Wagner, of Alsfeldt, Hessen Darmstadt, Germany, who conducted a big business in Tavistock for a number of years.
This union was blessed with ten children, five sons and five daughters; four sons and two daughters survive. The children still living are George, Henry and Peter of Chicago, Jacob of Shakespeare, Mrs. John Alles (Augusta) of Stratford and Katharine of Chicago. Jacob Wagner and two children died of Smallpox in 1873. Mrs. Charles Klein of Tavistock and Mrs. Jacob Smith, two daughters, also died.
On September 1st, 1877, deceased was married for the second time to John Klein of Tavistock. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs Charles Loth (Annie) of Stratford.
Deceased suffered the loss of her scond husband, about five years ago; since that time she found a good and welcome home with her daughter, Katharine at Chicago, where she was well-cared for until her death which resulted from old age.
The funeral was held from the undertaking establishing of Mr. John A. Krug, Tavistock, on Monday afternoon, September 8th and was attended by numerous heart-broken and sorrow- relatives.
Rev: Stockman, pastor of the Trinity Lutleran Church, Sebastopol, officiating. Interment was made in the Sebastopol Cemetery.
