After School: Bank Clerk.
Enlisted: September 24th, 1914 Valcartier, Quebec.
Served: 5th. Battalion C.E.F. in France and Belgium as a Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant. Between the 1st and 2nd WW, he was active in the
Canadian Militia, The Lorne Scots Regiment of Brampton. WW II he was a Sergeant and Staff Officer in Ottawa and London, England at Canadian Military Headquarters. He became a Lieutenant Colonel and received the Member of the British Empire ED from King George the VI.
After the War: He worked with the Dept. of Veteran Affairs and the Dept. of National Defence in Ottawa.
Family: Parents - James and Joanne (Kelly) Hamilton.
Brothers - Jack, Edwood and James.
Wife - Mary Kerr Vallance. Married June 1st, 1918 at Clapham, Common, England.
Comment: He was responsible for the Supplies of the Canadians who landed in Normandy on D Day.
