Comments: Sgt. Peter Steinman was honoured by the Dutch Government for his part in the freeing of their country in London, August 26th 1947 by Netherlands Ambassador to Canada, His Excellency Dr. J.H. van Royan, citation dated December 87,1945, in Dutch. Member of Tavistock Royal Canadian Legion; member of Tavistock Masonic Lodge; Peter was wounded in the same battle where Francis Weitzel was killed.
