After the War: worked on his father's ranch and for Benny Taylor for a few years; came east May 1949 and worked on a dairy farm near Woodstock

Family: on December 17th 1949, John married (Gertrude) Trudy Rogers of Bright. In the fall of 1953 they bought a dairy farm one mile west of Bright.
Children - Dianne married Duncan Polisak Sept. 20th 1969; owns Dunc's Electric, Bright; Dianne works at North Blenheim Mutual Insurance in Bright.
Bryan - married Bev Doan August 19th 1978; live on family farm since 1981; Bryan works for Jack Zehr Transport; Bev works for CIBC.
Grandchildren - Christine Polisak, Greg Polisak (Kim Vance), Scott Polisak (Jody Symons), Samantha Todd, Tyler Todd, Jenna Todd
Great Grandchildren - Kayla, Justin, Owen, Sullivan, Vaida
