Buried: Woodstock Presbyterian Cemetery. A monument in his memory erected in 1868. A new marker and wreath was erected on November 12, 2011 by the Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada

Comments: He was the elder of two sons whose father had died and left each of them fifty acres of farm land on the 14th Concession Lot 14 East Zorra Township. Malcolm wanted to pursue a college education and so he leased his land to his brother for $70 a year and borrowed an additional $90 from his brother-in-law and enrolled at the College of the University of Toronto.
The 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Ridgeway was celebrated June 2, 2016. This battle was the second of the Fenian Raids.
