Death of John Loth: -- Mr. John Loth, who died on Thursday morning last, after a two week's sickness, had never been ill before. He was born in New Hamburg almost sixty-seven years ago. About 1875 he came to Tavistock and bought the Commercial Hotel, which he conducted until 1888 when he sold it. He has been a resident of Tavistock ever since. He was a man very widely known and generally esteemed, altho' of a quiet disposition. In 1864 Mr. Loth married Miss Annie Kaufmann, who survives. Eight sons also survive, W. K. and Milton at Milverton; Fred at Blenheim; Louis, Charles and Edwin at Tavistock, Henry at Woodstock and Robert at Stratford. Mesdames Pimper of Woodstock; Henry Diebel of Minnesota; Thos Vance of Hersey, Michigan and Wm. Parker of Cassel are sisters.
