Shunpiker Route # 2 - Tavistock to Shakespeare

The five corners is the heart of Tavistock. On which corner did it all begin?

Did the German flag really fly in Tavistock?

Who was Charles Shakespeare?

These questions and more are answered on Shunpiker Route # 2.

This shunpiker starts at the five corners in Tavistock, the location once known as the village square. Then it’s north to Sebastopol and on Shakespeare with a return to Tavistock via Balaclava and Yantziville. There are 9 stops showcasing various aspects of our local history.

Our shunpikers can be driving tours or, if you live outside the area, you can take the tour from the comfort of your home on a device of your choice.

If you are getting in your car and hitting the open road you can download and use a paper copy of the routing and descriptions of the stops or you may wish to use your smartphone. In either case designate someone as the navigator and narrator so the driver can keep eyes on the road.
